Dr. Cosmas Zavazava of Zimbabwe is now in charge of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau. The International Telecommunication Union’s member governments came to this conclusion (ITU).
More than half of the 165 countries that are part of the ITU went to the summit and did vote. Zimbabwe Zavazava beat Pakistan’s Anusha Rahman Khan, 2-0, At the ITU, a candidate needs at least 85 votes to start the process of becoming Director of the Telecommunications Development Bureau.
The candidate from Zimbabwe did receive 101 of the total votes. Stephen Bereaux, who was from the Bahamas, came in second with 59 votes. Only 15 articles include Anusha Rahman Khan.
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has three rounds of voting, and at the end of each round, the two candidates who got the fewest votes swing out of the race.
