YouTube search function gets a great new feature

YouTube released several new search platform function that let you search the millions and millions of videos hosted on the site. For mobile users only, you can now expect videos to play automatically (silently) when scrolled. Much like other sites that currently unnamed are doing. This will help you get an idea of what to expect from the video.

Also, if the creator has a timestamp (also known as a chapter) for a video. You can now scroll through chapters before clicking on the video in search results.

In short, YouTube also displays search function results from other languages with subtitles, titles and descriptions. That have automatically translated when “relevant content is not available in local languages”. An example on YouTube is that someone in Thailand can study physics in their own translated language from a professor at MIT. More accessibility is always good.

Expect these changes to appear on YouTube this week.
