Hollywood actor Will Smith has banned from attending the Academy Awards for the next year. He had punched Chris Rock on the stage at the 94th Academy Awards. Now Will Smith is reportedly seeking spiritual direction.
The Kind Richard actor has recently spotted at Mumbai International Airport. A low profile following the infamous incident proved to be a big blow for his career and a ban from Oscars. According to sources, Will Smith travelled to India for spiritual direction, including yoga and meditation practise.
The incident occurred after Smith stated in his statement that he will promise that violence will never overcome the power of logic. Change takes time and he committed to making the necessary sacrifices to ensure that violence never again prevails over reason.
He said, “Among those I have hurt are Chris, his family, many of my own friends and loved ones. Everyone in attendance and millions of others across the world watching at home also hurted. I shattered the confidence of the Academy.”
As he put it, he want to concentrate attention on those who deserve it for their achievements. Let the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to return to the magnificent work it performs to nurture innovation and artistry in film.
