WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook all recovered after a short outage

Social media giant Facebook and two other platforms, including WhatsApp and Instagram on Friday, have experienced temporary disruption in Pakistan and around the world.

However, services on the social networking site recovered after two hours on Friday night, users said. It is worth noting that all three major social platforms, including Facebook, which has more than two billion users worldwide, remain inaccessible after reports of closures in Pakistan, as well as many other countries including India, the UK, and Europe.

However, mobile users are not affected by the problem. The Facebook administration must provide a reason for the disruption.

The most recent outage came just a month after Facebook was offline for hours a month. The outage lasted more than 24 hours, during which the social media giant’s administration was accused of “changing server configuration”.
