Vivo officially started producing mobile phones in Pakistan

Chinese tech giant vivo has officially started manufacturing smartphones in Pakistan, we confirm with sources.

While we are not sure about a model made locally in Pakistan, if we are sure of the source then the “Made in Pakistan” smartphone will be immediately available in stores across the country.

Vivo officially is located on the M-3 Industrial Estate in Faisalabad and was built with an investment of $ 10 million. It will meet the smartphone requirements of the country, which sells more than 1.5-2.5 million devices every month.

According to AlphaBetaCore, a research firm that specializes in technology investments, Pakistan currently has 32 million phone requests and $ 1 billion in import costs per year.

Company officials, although not wanting to be named, said the factory would not only help Pakistan cut its import bills, but would also increase the company’s share in the country by 5 to 7 percent.

At the time of assembly, Pakistan was the seventh vivo market where smartphones were produced locally.

Smartphones have always been expensive in Pakistan, but after this trend we can finally expect the price of the smartphone to be the same as the official price.

Even though this is just the beginning, we expect local smartphone production in Pakistan to grow so fast that companies will export phones from here.
