Now Indian cricketer is the first Asian celebrity to have 100M followers on Instagram. He is the first cricketer to do so. He is also one of the best cricketers of indian history with several records in cricket world.
Moreover the ICC paid tribute to the Indian captain for his achievement. They presented him along with many well-known personalities in a post on social media.
Crossing the 100M landmark on Instagram is no small feat, as Virat Kohli beat “American popstar Demi Lovato (99 million followers). Also the Spanish football club Real Madrid (95 million) and Barcelona (94 million)”.
Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has 266 million followers and Ariana Grande ranks second with 244 million followers.
Messi is also well behind his Portuguese rivals with 187 million followers in the app.
India’s captain, on the other hand, is focused on his fourth and final friendly match against England. India is currently leading a series with 2-1 after their recent win over tourists.
