Violations of coronavirus SOPs at Karachi airport resulted in fines of Rs13,000 per violation

More than two dozen people were fined Rs 13,000 on Wednesday for violating the Standard Operating Guidelines (SOP) on the coronavirus when entering Jinnah International Airport.

The Corona Task Force set up by the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan (PCAA) and led by Karachi Jinnah International Airport Governor Mohammad Imran Khan fined 26 people for not wearing masks.

The fine for violating the Coronavirus SOP is 500 rupees per person, bringing the total to 13,000 rupees for 26 people.

The ‘Corona Task Force also confiscated cards from employees of various companies operating at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi for not complying with SOPs for the coronavirus.
