UEFA Euro 2020: Thousands of final match tickets illegally sold in ‘BLACK’

According to British media, thousands of tickets for the UEFA Euro 2020 final sold on the black market at record rates.

The illegal market for the tickets haste English and Italian supporters as the Euro 2020 Final nears won the semifinal match for England on Thursday with Denmark via penalty.

This is the country’s first appearance since 1996 at a major event.

Last week, the official UEFA website declared that all tickets had sold out. But enthusiastic supporters immediately moved into black markets in the aim of picking up tickets. These had offered at higher rates.

Despite UEFA legislation prohibiting their resale beyond face value, seats reach five figures on secondary ticketing platforms.

Media stated that a couple of tickets for the Sunday match available on the Ticombo resale website. But many are most costly for 40,000 pounds.

Ticket sales have increased for final match, and several complaints have also been published of frauds and scams.

The final of UEFA Euro 2020 Cup will take place at Wembley on Sunday between England and Italy.
