Two terrorists were killed during a surveillance operation by security forces in Spinwam, North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
Pakistan’s military media wing said the two terrorists were eliminated after an “intense gun battle”.
The terrorists belonged to the banned equipment of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), ISPR reports.
“The terrorists killed were active members of the TTP in Spinwam, North Waziristan, and were involved in terrorist activities against security forces,” the statement said.
During the operation, one soldier, Naik Nazakat Khan, was martyred, ISPR said. The 32-year-old soldier is a resident of Attock.
