Twitter will Suspend those Accounts Spreading Misinformation about Covid-19 Vaccines

Twitter has announced tagging tweets that may contain misleading information about Covid vaccinations and stopping the persistent repeaters. According to Report, Twitter will suspend account of those users who will spreading misinformation on Covid Pandemic and its vaccinations.

The micro blogging platform has implemented a delay system against the misleading tweets. Five or more warnings will result in the account permanently banned.

“We believe the strike system will help educate the public about our policies. Further reduce the spread of potentially dangerous and misleading information on Twitter. Especially in cases of repeated violations of our medium and high severity rules,” the company statement said. Monday night.

Since the introduction of the Covid-19 guidelines, Twitter says it has deleted more than 8,400 tweets. It also contains questioned 11.5 million accounts worldwide.

While one warning at the account level will have no effect. Two will result in the account being locked for 12 hours. Three strikes in another 12 hour account hold; Four alerts if the account has been locked for 7 days and five or more warnings. This means the account is permanently locked.

Twitter will suspend account to stop spreading wrong information about Covid Vaccinations and its effects.

The label is first applied by a Twitter team member if they find that the content violates the platform guidelines.

“Our ultimate goal is to use automatic and human screening to target content that violates our Covid-19 vaccine misinformation policy,” said Twitter.
