A key leader of the forbidden Pakistani Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) was killed in Kunar, Afghanistan, Geo News reported, citing sources on Saturday.
Mufti Khalid is a close associate of the well-known TTP chief Mula Fazlula.
He is believed to have led several deadly terrorist attacks in Pakistan, including the one at Bacha Khan University, the 2008 election rally and the Army Public School in Peshawar.
Sources say Mufti Khalid was killed by an unknown person while traveling.
