On Thursday, July 8, transgender people from Multan attended their first lesson at a school in the Gulgasht neighborhood.
It is located in the Government Girls Comprehensive Higher Secondary School and was launched by the Punjab government. Transduction, a pilot project, was used to establish the school.
According to South Punjab Education Secretary Dr. Ehtesham Anwar, 18 pupils have registered in the first phase.
From 4 to 6 p.m., lessons will be held. Primary, elementary, secondary, and higher secondary students were divided into four groups.
Students have also been given pick-up and drop-off services, uniforms, and course books by the government.
‘We will launch a vocational training program for them in the following phase, which will include hairdressing, makeup, tailoring, and cooking classes,’ Anwar said.
