Tickets for next summer’s ODI between Pakistan and UK at Edgbaston are sold out. This is the fastest selling bilateral ODI game in at least 10 years.
The final of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and England is scheduled for July 13 at Edgebaston. Dates are subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reads a statement from the Cricket Club. Warwickshire County,
“Tickets were initially sold through a priority window to Warwickshire members and supporters who purchased tickets in 2020 and decided to leave their ticket value in credit rather than refund. Ballot winners picked up remaining tickets yesterday morning from 10am”
Warwickshire officials were delighted by the news of the sale, saying it showed people’s interest in live sporting events. This is the first time in 10 years that pre-Christmas cricket tickets have sold out.
Many fans were disappointed they did not get tickets to the match and the Warwickshire sales manager said there will be more tickets for other games once the full schedule for next summer is confirmed.
“As the New Year begins, we look forward to confirming an early season international schedule, including additional details about the England Men’s International T20 against Sri Lanka and potential test cricket at Edgbaston,”
