This Xiaomi Phone Support Professional Camera Lenses

The age-old debate about whether smartphones or professional camera lenses are better is still going on, but Xiaomi hopes to add some drama to the fight. But imagine if professional camera lenses do use on smartphones (Xiaomi). That’s the question Xiaomi’s new concept phone is meant to answer.

The Chinese smartphone maker just didĀ releaseĀ a teaser for the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept Edition. Which has an interchangeable Leica camera lens.

Based on the picture, this ideal phone has a second camera module that can fit a full-size Leica lens. The lens sometimes does attach by twisting it over the silver ring around the camera. As an alternative, the standard Xiaomi 12S Ultra has a golden ring that does nothing. Also, the image sensor for the main camera is missing.

Ice Universe, the good tipster, sent us a picture of it in person. Which gives us a good idea of how it will look.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is already a top-tier smartphone, but it really shines in photography. So, if it can combine its features with a full pro lens. We are really looking at revolutionary image quality never seen in smartphones before.

It also means Xiaomi that it is the first company to place a whole Leica camera lens on the back of a smartphone. The Chinese company says that their ideal device will get features similar to those of flagship smartphones as well as those of professional photography gear.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept will sport a new camera system, but the details do not reveal yet. In addition to the standard smartphone-sized sensor, he says the device will also contain a second, centrally located 1-inch sensor that will work with the external Leica lens.

There was also an ultra-wide camera on the module, but no zoom lens. You can get a Leica lens with zooming capabilities as an extra feature.
