The suggestion to prolong summer holidays for schools in Punjab was rejected by the government during a meeting between federal and provincial education ministers.
Taking the decision to open schools in the province on 2 August, Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas stated via Twitter.
Murad Raas has declared that every school would operate at a capacity of 50 percent every day.
Schools are urged to comply with all safety requirements and fully adhere to COVID-19 operational standards (SOPs).
At the conference of education ministers we discussed how kids have suffered already, therefore it was determined that when it comes to education the government should make no further sacrifices.
Provinces took choices depending on the number of cases of coronavirus. In districts where the COVID-19 positive percentages are greater, schools were also recommended to open later.
