The worlds finest Fitbit got better

The Luxe incorporates two features from the new Worlds finest Fitbit Charge 5, which is already available. Both an always-on display and the ability to monitor blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) data in the Health Metrics area of the Fitbit app have added to the Fitbit Luxe. Which currently holds our top ranking as the best Fitbit. The Fitbit Luxe is presently our top-rated fitness tracker. Both of these functionalities have enabled as a result of firmware upgrade 1.151.16.

Following the update, your blood oxygen levels will have displayed in the Health Metrics dashboard of the Fitbit mobile app. However, keep in mind that, unlike some fitness trackers and running watches, your Luxe will only measure SpO2 while you sleep. And that you will not be able to perform spot checks throughout the day.

Wear your Luxe all day even at night, with the case snugly against your wrist to get the most out of your Luxe case. As soon as you wake up in the morning, launch the Fitbit app. And your SpO2 trends will have displayed in the Health Metrics tile.

As Fitbit itself notes, this data has intended solely for personal use and should not used to diagnose any medical conditions. However, it does make for interesting reading, and if you notice that your SpO2 levels drop particularly low overnight. It may be worthwhile to schedule a conversation with your doctor to discuss the issue in more detail.

Put your best foot forward

In addition to an on-board GPS, an EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor for tracking changes in stress levels. And an ECG sensor, the Fitbit Charge 5 offers an always-on display mode, which has become one of the device’s most popular new features. This feature is now available on the Fitbit Luxe as well, making it simple to see the time. Your current step count, and exercise information without having to raise your wrist to rouse the screen from its sleep.

The Fitbit Luxe boasts a very gorgeous and vibrant AMOLED display, which is a big plus. But keep in mind that utilizing it can significantly reduce the battery life of your watch. This will vary depending on how long you use it. And you can choose to just have the screen illuminated between specific hours to save on energy costs and to conserve battery life.

What’s next is a mystery

The Daily Readiness Score, which will be available for the Fitbit Luxe, Charge 5, Versa 3, Versa 2, Sense. And Inspire 2 devices, is another new feature that will be coming to your wrist very soon. Only if you have a Fitbit Premium subscription.

Wearing your Fitbit throughout the day and at night will result in you being presented with a number in the morning. That indicates how well-rested you are based on your activity history, heart rate variability, and sleep score.
