The University of Punjab will postpone exams until 1 and 15 April

The University of Punjab is postponing exams, as they will start on April 1 and 15 for various subjects.

Although a statement issued by the university on Friday did not explicitly state the reasons for the postponement of examinations, the decision was taken because schools in several areas in Punjab were closed until April 11 as the number of coronavirus cases alarmingly increased.

Punjab University said this annual exam should be held on April 1st and 15th.
The next test date will be announced two weeks before the exam, variations added.

Pakistan has now reported the most cases of coronavirus in eight months.

More than 4,000 people have tested positive in the past 24 hours amid the third wave of the pandemic that continues to escalate.
