The Sindh coronavirus task force has recommended that schools be closed for two weeks

The Sindh coronavirus task force has advised the provincial government to close schools for at least two weeks amid an increase in COVID-19 cases.

The working group asked the Sindh government to look into the decision during a coronavirus task force meeting chaired by Sindh Prime Minister Murad Ali Shah. In response to the proposal, CM Shah asked the Minister of Education in Sindh Said Ghani to speak with all stakeholders, including private school administrators, and take the final decision accordingly.

During the Sindh government meeting on Friday, it said that from March 26 to April 1, 2021, Karachi recorded a rate of 4.73%, while Hyderabad recorded 5.1% and Karachi 1.6% of other Sindh areas were found.

Representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) who were present during the meeting informed attendees that the UK strain of coronavirus is growing at an alarming rate.
