Kate Middleton has reportedly been in contact with Megan Markle over the past few weeks to try to heal the gap between the Sussex couple and the royal family.
Relations between Cambridge and the Sussexes have been strained since Harry and Megan announced their retirement as senior members of the royal family.
The Duchess of Cambridge has had “more” contact with her daughter-in-law Megan since Lily was born last month and is reportedly trying to develop a relationship with the Sussexes.
“Kate Middleton has had more contact with Megan since [Lillibet], sending [notes and] gifts and trying to build a relationship [with the Sussexes],” a source told Us Weekly.
She added: “The company is instructing employees to bond more with Harry and Megan so they can soften things up a bit.”
The Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly sent sweet words and greetings to Megan and her newborn daughter Lily in a private message as William’s wife is so happy to see Harry’s daughter.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Prince Harry put their differences aside and shared words and smiles as they gathered for the unveiling of their late mother Princess Diane’s statue in Kensington Palace’s converted Sunken Gardens.
Duchess Megan, who lives in California during Harry’s absence to care for two-year-old Lily and Archie, made contact with Kate Middleton.
