Fawad Chaudhry, Federal Minister of Science and Technology Thursday said the federal cabinet had not yet discussed changing its composition because it was just Prime Minister Imran Khan’s privilege.
“Whenever he thinks it’s right, he’s going to make changes in the cabinet,” he said, answering questions during a press conference about the federal cabinet decision.
Fawad said the media should know that the ESC is made up of economists, while the federal cabinet is made up of politicians, foreign ministry officials, and finance experts.
“Maryam Safdar’s silence is not a good thing. We hope the Cabinet will listen to people like us this time,” he said when asked if he would refuse help again, as he did in the case of Nawaz Sharif.
Regarding the coronavirus, Fawad said that the two waves of the pandemic had been successfully contained and efforts had been made to overcome the third wave in the same way as assessed around the world.
