Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon arrived in Islamabad today (Wednesday) for a two-day visit to Pakistan.
Federal Minister Husro Bakhtiar received him at the Nur Khan Air Base. The President of Tajikistan was accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Emomali Rahmon will lead their respective countries in negotiations at the delegation level.
The two countries will exchange views on deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields, including politics, economy, trade, investment, energy, security and defense, culture, education, and regional connectivity.

A number of agreements and letters of intent are expected to be signed during the visit. Officials will meet separately with President Dr. Meet with Arif Alvi.
In a statement, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy close brotherly ties based on shared beliefs, history and cultural ties.
