The PCB has released the men’s central contract list for 2021-22

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has downgraded former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed on the central contract list for 2021-22, once again ignoring Mohammad Hafeez.

Hassan Ali and Mohammad Rizwan were promoted to category A by the PCB today, completing the much-anticipated central contingents for the men’s squad.

The announcement reads, “It is an improved and performance-based central contract list for 20 elite male cricketers, including three developing cricketers, in which match price across all forms has been equalized.”

From July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, the 12-month contracts will be in effect.

The panel, which included Director of International Cricket Zakir Khan, Chief Selector Muhammad Wasim, and Director of High-Performance Nadeem Khan, also contacted Head Coach Misbah-ul-Haq and captain Babar Azam during the process, came up with the final list.

Before being authorized by PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani, the tentative list was shared with PCB Chief Executive Officer Wasim Khan.
