The OGRA proposes raising the price of petrol

The Regulatory Authority for Oil and Gas (OGRA) today (14 August) proposed an increase of Rs2.50 per litre of high-speed diesel price and 50 paisa of petrol price.

The summary of the procedure was transmitted to the government.

However, Prime Minister Imran Khan has the ultimate permission for pricing reviews. From 16 August, the revised pricing come into effect.

Rs116.53 and Rs84.67 per litre are respectively the high speed diesel and light diesel oil prices.

The government hiked gas prices, which previously cost Rs119,8 per litre, to Rs118,09 per litre, on July 21.

Every 15 days, Pakistan reviews oil prices. OGRA sends ideas to the then final decision-maker, PM Imran Khan.
