Raj Kundra, the husband of Shilpa Shetty, has been in the headlines for a few days following his arrest in an instance of pornography. Till 23 July, until now, he was put to judicial detention.
On Friday it was brought before the Court of Justice and detention was granted until 27 July. However, his lawyer is evidently not happy with this judgement and said that they will be sent to the High Court. He also called Raj’s arrest “illegal.”
Raj Kundra’s lawyer, Subhash Jadhav’s lawyer, spoke to Etimes, “The arrest of Raj Kundra is unlawful. There is not one single pornographic video. A 4000-page charging sheet is submitted, although no sexually explicit conduct was indicated by police in the film showing criminal activity in accordance with Section 67a. The remaining parts can be rented. For the same reasons, Munawar Farooqui was previously freed by the Supreme Court.” ANI posted this update on their Twitter handle:
