The Karachi Board of Education has postponed the practical exams for grades 9 and 10

Announced by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi Chairman (BSEK) Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, on Friday the annual practical examinations of grades 9 and 10 have been delayed to 8 August.

The BSEK has decided to implement an emergency lockdown in order to manage the fast growing cases of coronavirus in the town in the light of provincial government instructions.

He added that from 9 August to 17 August the practical examinations would begin of science and of general classes of grades 9 and 10.

“We took the choice in the dangerous circumstances to ensure the safety and comfort of kids and instructors,” Shah added.

He added the headmasters and principals of BSEK schools were advised to observe the SOPs carefully in order to prevent the spread of infection during the practical exam.

The SOPs include the usage of masks, social distance and other safeguards.
