The govt is about to hire a new CEO for PSEB

The Ministry of Information Technology (Govt) and Telecommunications has done finish interviewing candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).

Insiders from the Ministry of Information Technology (Govt) did tell LahoreHerald that they have interviewed candidates for the position of chief executive officer (CEO) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Board (PSEB). Once the first group of applicants did narrow down to three, the federal government sometimes did ask to approve this list.

An IT ministry official did tell LahoreHerald, “The post of CEO Pakistan [Software] Export Board is important, and the ministry wants to fill it as soon as possible because PSEB is in charge of growing IT exports”. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is working hard to reach its goal of $5 billion in IT exports for the current fiscal year.

The Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MITT) did lead to calls for applications for the position of PSEB CEO during the first week of September. The sources say that after the first screening and shortlisting, about 30 applicants did ask to come in for an interview, and 26 became brought before the selection board for final consideration.

Since two months ago, PSEB is without a chief executive officer. Before, Osman Nasir MD PSEB give a notice of his resignation in August 2022. When his time in office became up. Osman Nasir’s job is first did suppose to be extended by the Ministry of Information and Communications, but Nasir did turn down the offer.
