Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the government is accountable for the wise use of taxpayers’ money, in particular in development projects, and underlined the necessity for all departments to address corruption threats.
The Premier remarked during a meeting on the effective use of public sector development programs, “It is the main obligation of the government to guarantee proper use of taxpayer’s money and deploy electronic systems to assist eliminate corruption” (PSDP).
“Reforms to enhance the taxation system are under way and consultations with all stakeholders will improve and quickly track the process,” continued the Prime Minister.
In his application for ideas and settlement of the matters, Mr Khan asked federal Ministers to maintain frequent communication with all parties involved.
It was also said that the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives continuously monitored the execution of the projects to guarantee the effectiveness and timeliness of the use of the money and it no longer accepted PC-I and PC-II papers in hard press.
