The federal govt increased the levy on petrol and diesel by Rs 4 per liter

Despite the reduction in oil prices, the federal government decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products from December 1, but at the same time increased the levy on petrol and diesel by Rs 4 per liter.

The current price will be Rs 145.82 and the price of diesel will be Rs 142.62, the current price of kerosene will be Rs 116.53 and the price of light diesel oil will be Rs 114.07 per liter.

According to sources, the government has adjusted the impact of the fall in prices of crude oil and petroleum products in the global market by increasing the petroleum levy and GST.

According to sources, the government increased the levy on petrol and diesel by Rs 4 per liter, after which the levy on petrol became Rs 13.62 and petroleum levy on diesel became Rs 13.14 per liter.

According to sources, the government increased GST on petrol from zero. The tax has been increased to 1.63% and GST on diesel has been increased from 7.2% to 7.37%.
