Tencent Donates to Pakistan Flood Relief Efforts

The Tencent Charity Foundation donates PKR25 million to help the rainfall people of Pakistan. With help from the China Foundation for Rural Development and the China-Pakistan Youth Exchange Community.

Tencent, the largest tech company in the world, still runs the Tencent Foundation. Tencent donates to people who are distressed by a disaster, like a flood in Pakistan, by giving them waterproof clothes, blankets, food, and other supplies.

The National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan says that the humanitarian situation in the country is “critical” because heavy rains and flooding sometimes affect 33 million people. There are 80 “calamity-stricken” districts in the last month (NDMA). More than 637,000 women are also leaving homeless and are currently residing in refugee camps.

Tencent’s mission statement is “Tech for Good.” Ge Yan, the Secretary-General of the Tencent Charity Foundation, says, “User value is our guiding concept, and we try to build social responsibility into our products and services and work with the wider community for the sustainable development of society.”

Tencent wants to connect with the Pakistani market, and PUBG MOBILE is a way to do that. The company is also using its loyal player base to rally support during this crisis.

Tencent Games and PUBG MOBILE stand with the people of Pakistan and will keep working for a better future. Vincent Wang, the general manager of Global Publishing and Global Esports at Tencent Games. He said, “With the help of the PUBG MOBILE local team in Pakistan. We will continue to stand by Pakistan’s side.”
