Talat Iqbal, Pakistani actor, dies in US

Talat Iqbal, a veteran Pakistani actor, died in the United States, his family revealed on Friday.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Talat’s funeral will be held following Jumma prayers at Al Rehman Mosque, and he will be laid to rest in Restland Cemetery in Dallas, according to the family.

Talat was brought to the hospital when his health deteriorated as a result of the death of his daughter.

In accordance with sources, Talat’s daughter had been dealing with a sickness for quite some time; however, the exact nature of the ailment has yet to be established.

The veteran actor had a distinguished career and had played pivotal roles in a number of popular PTV dramas during the 1970s and 1980s.

It should be noted that Talat’s wife and Sarah’s mother, Sumbul Talat Iqbal, was well-known for her work in television, which is relevant here.

Sumbul and Talat are the parents of three children: two daughters (Sarah and Somi) and one son (Khakan). Sumbul passed away from cancer in 2014 in the state of Texas, in the United States.
