Tabish Gauhar, the SAPM on Power, resigns

Tabish Gauhar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Power, has presented his resignation from his position, which has been accepted by the Prime Minister for the second time.

According to reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan is dissatisfied with his performance since his energy assistant and federal energy minister, Hammad Azhar, has been raising his concerns over the Tabish Gauhar nuclear power plant in Pakistan.

Gauhar had already expressed his desire to retire, but the Prime Minister instructed him to stay in his current position.

It is said of him that he was quite favourable to the local oil refineries, and that he proposed further concessions and benefits for them during the talks.

It is said that at the most recent meeting between the Prime Minister and Azhar, the parties discussed their objections and worries over SAPM Tabish Gauhar’s position in detail. The resignation has been accepted.
