Student of O/A decided to call off their protest after meeting Raja Yasir

O / A students withdrew their protests after meeting Punjab Education Minister Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfraz on Monday.

The students protested in front of the governor’s house, but after the meeting cleared the road. In protest, the students urged the government to postpone their exams given the current coronavirus situation.

During the meeting, Sarfraz said there would be a meeting tomorrow at the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) where the education and health ministers would decide whether to extend school closures or not. Exam decisions are made at the NCOC meeting, he added.

The PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said parents have spent millions of rupees on their children’s education, but current government policies have disappointed many parents with their children’s education.

He said “those in charge of Cambridge’s education system have postponed examinations around the world,” but that Pakistani authorities want to take examinations from students.
