Squad for Zimbabwe series to be finalized today

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection panel met today to discuss and finalise the line-ups for the upcoming tour of South Africa and series in Zimbabwe

According to a Lahore herald, the selected players will hold a virtual meeting and discuss the cricket’s performances during previous matches before selecting a team for the tour.

According to sources, the commission will announce the national team for the tour on March 10.

Officials with knowledge of the developments told the broadcaster on Monday that the national selection committee would explain the white ball and red ball to the team at the same time. They added that the joint team could consist of 30 players.

Sources said PCB plans to announce the squad soon as it plans to send the entire group on a charter flight together. The team will leave Pakistan on March 26.

Pakistan is expected to play a number of draws, including ODI and T20, against South Africa at home from April 2-16.

The ODI series matches will be part of the ICC Men’s World Cup Cricket Super League.

According to the PCB schedule, the team will leave for Johannesburg on March 26 and play three Super League matches on April 2, 4 and 7.

Following the tour in South Africa, the team will leave for Zimbabwe on April 17 for two tests and three T20Is.
