South Korea Crossed 20 Million 5G Users in November: Report says

According to the Report, South Korea becomes first country to crosses 20 Million 5G network users in November month. Following the publication of statistics on Monday, it was revealed that the number of smartphone druggies on 5G mobile networks had outgunned 20 million in November, marking the first time the service had been commercialised since it was firstly launched in January of this time.

According to data from the Ministry of Science and Information Technology, the total number of 5G druggies in the nation reached20.19 million in November last time, counting for nearly 28 percent of the total72.57 million mobile subscribers in the country.

South Korea, which has a population of 52 million people, was the first country to commercialise 5G networks in April 2019. It has since expanded 5G content to 85 metropolises, making it the world’s largest.

According to the Yonhap news agency, the newest data represents an increase from19.38 million 5G subscriptions in October, as new smartphone launches, similar as Apple’s new iPhone 13 series, encouraged stoner growth, according to the report.

Samsung ElectronicsCo.’s new foldable phones — the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 — were released in late August, and they’ve contributed to the company’s stoner growth.

Samsung’s new foldable smartphones have proven to be extremely popular in the country, with deals exceeding one million units in just 39 days after its debut.

According to the statistics, SK Telecom, the country’s largest mobile carrier in terms of subscribers, had the loftiest number of 5G guests with9.52 million, followed by KTCorp. with6.16 million and LG UplusCorp. with4.46 million.

With48.55 million mobile subscribers in November, South Korea’s 4G network reckoned for 67 percent of all mobile subscriptions, according to the Korea Dispatches Information Center.
