A three-day suspension of gas supply to the non-export sector and Combined Natural Gas (CNG) stations in the province of Punjab and the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been declared by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
After a dry dock, the Floating Storage and Re-gasification Unit (FSRU) exquisite will be re-deployed and the supply will be interrupted from 6:00 PM on Sunday (12 September) to 12 AM on Wednesday (15 September), according to a memorandum published by the company.
The text of the notification is as follows:
During the aforementioned period, it is recommended that all regions advise SNGPL to cease gas/RLNG supply to the natural gas (CNG), cement, general industry, and captive power (non-export) sectors throughout the franchised area of SNGPL in order to better manage the gas load (including Punjab and KP).
Throughout the provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the supply of natural gas will be suspended at CNG stations, in general, for non-export purposes, and in the cement sector, while the supply will be maintained for the export industry.
Additionally, 10 percent of the entire volume of gas will be delivered to the export industry, and any changes to this arrangement will be communicated as soon as they occur.
