To ensure the well-being of citizens from the coronavirus, Sindh Prime Minister Murad Ali Shah announced on Thursday that vaccination against COVID-19 will be mandatory for every citizen.
The Prime Minister also ordered the competent authorities not to waive the salaries of officials who were not vaccinated against the contagious coronavirus.
The meeting of the Provincial Working Group on COVID-19 chaired by CM Murad took place today to discuss the current situation in the province and the vaccination campaign.
“We have to take drastic measures to look after our citizens,” said Murad Ali Shah, instructing the health department to set up vaccination centers in every corner of the province.
“I want at least 300 basic vaccination centers in rural areas to be able to vaccinate 30,000 people a day,” he said.

Murad Ali Shah, who set another target for the health ministry, said five mobile vaccination teams should be formed at each level of the talks.
CM also instructed the health department to send 10,000 vaccinations to 90 private hospitals that were already allowed to vaccinate people. It was also decided to register more private hospitals for vaccination.
Employees who are not vaccinated do not receive a salary
Murad Ali Shah made a political decree ordering the Secretary-General to grant the month of June to all government/semi-government/local government employees to self-vaccinate and stop the salaries of officials who did not vaccinate them by the end of this month.
“I would like to say that unvaccinated workers will not be fired after June,” he said.
While giving a briefing on the vaccination meeting, the Minister of Health Dr Kazim Jatoi has so far used 1,550,553 doses, of which 1,121,402 the first dose and 429,223 the second dose.
