Sindh court ordered electricity company employees to clean mosques for two years

A civil court in Sukkur on Saturday ordered employees of the Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) to perform prayers five times a day and clean their company mosque for the next two years.

The directives were given by Civil Judge Munawar Ali Pirzada at a hearing on a petition submitted by a man whose three buffaloes perished as a result of electrocution.

According to the petitioner, his animals’ lives were taken after a high voltage cable snapped and fell to the ground, killing them.

According to local media, the court also sentenced the convicted, which included SDO Khalid Bajkani and line superintendents Tariq Malik and Farooq Noorani, to plant 40 trees and memorise 10 Ahadith a month in addition to their other obligations.

A monthly compliance report was also required by the court, according to the ruling.
