Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari criticised the UK administration on Monday for having retained Pakistan on the red list, which called the action ‘stupid.’
On 2 and 19 April respectively, the British Government put Pakistan and India on the red list. However, the Government said in an amended list that India, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates will be transferred from August 8 to the Amber List.
A day earlier the UK Senior Health Officer JO Churchill reported that, owing to “declining Covid-19 and poor testing,” Pakistan was kept on the UK “red list”
In a tweet minister Mazari stated, “the UK government, ruled by the Indophila, despite India’s ongoing catastrophic management of the COVID-19 epidemic widely recorded, has moved Indian to Amber List but maintains Pak on red.
