The Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered the provincial government to ensure that the BRT Green Line and other public transportation systems are completed within the stipulated time limit, on Friday.
A two-member High Court panel chaired by Judge Mohammad Ali Mazhar is considering a petition banning the postponement of a major transportation project in Karachi.
The petitioner notified the court that 78 bus routes had been blocked in the port city, which had increased the suffering of travelers.

The metropolitan city needs more than 14,500 buses to meet the travel needs of its growing population, he added. He called on the provincial government to take immediate action to remove buses from city streets.
Hakim Mazhar said the government has set a schedule for completing the project and hopes the project will be completed accordingly. The court adjourned the trial until April 29.
