The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday ordered the police to submit a report on Gutka and Manipuri sales throughout the province.
The DIG special Branch and the DIG Hyderabad came before a Sindh High Court bench that was hearing the case against Gutka and Manipuri businesses in the province, according to the DIG special Branch.
The court also ordered a report on a video that showed SSP Matiari interacting with narcotics dealers. According to the police report provided to the court, the DIG Mirpurkhas is initiating an investigation into the SSP Matiari’s conduct.

Later, the court ordered a full report on the current business of Gutka and Mainpuri, as well as information on the police actions taken in the last two months, which was submitted to the court.
During the previous hearing, the SHC ordered that the lists of police officers who operate businesses dealing in illegal products, be finalized and that action be taken against those officers.
The SHC had also stated that the details of the properties owned by the officers and higher officials of the Sindh police who were involved in the sale of gutka and mawa should also be provided before the court, according to the court.
The court also directed that the Sindh Rangers be called in to assist in the fight against the selling of gutka and mawa, if necessary.
