Shahid Afridi: ‘PSL can only be completed with local/young players’

The Pakistani Super League (PSL) will return and be stronger than ever, former captain Shahid Afridi said Thursday after the tournament was postponed.

The comments came after the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB) indefinitely postponed the sixth edition of the PSL due to the COVID-19 explosion reported in the balloon of the Karachi “Biosafety” tournament.

“Even in a challenging situation, I think PSL can only be filled with local/young players,” said the former skipper who is part of the Multan Sultan team.

However, he appealed to the public to be careful and follow security precautions because the virus is still there.
