Legends of Pakistani cricket Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi will compete in the Legends Cricket League, which will be held in Oman in January 2022 and will be attended by many other legends of the game.

A team representing Asia, an Indian team, and a team representing the rest of the globe will compete in this competition, which will be broadcast live on ESPN3. This year’s competition will feature legends of the game such as Akhtar, Afridi, and many others.

In addition to other luminaries from Pakistan and Sri Lanka, as well as players from Afghanistan and Bangladesh, they will be a member of the Asian Lions squad.

Apart from Misbah-ul-Haq, Shoaib Malik, Umar Gul, Azhar Mahmood, Younis Khan, and Mohammad Yousuf, the Asian Lions lineup includes players from Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan, as well as players from the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom.

A number of other cricketing icons, including MS Dhoni, Shaun Pollock, Yuvraj Singh, Darren Sammy, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara, and Brett Lee, are expected to be part in the intriguing project, as well.

When asked about the idea of welcoming superstars such as Afridi and Akhtar to the Legends Cricket League, Ravi Shastri, a former Indian head coach who is now the league’s commissioner, expressed his excitement.

He went on to say that Shastri expects top-quality cricket to be played by Afridi, Akhtar, Malik, Vaas and Muralitharan as part of a single side. “There will be some top-quality cricket on display,” he said of the lineup.
