Shahbaz Gill said Nawaz Sharif visa extension is rejected he will be deported

Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication, claimed on Saturday that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was aware that he would be deported from the United Kingdom (UK) shortly after his visa extension request was rejected, and that as a result, he was using the rejection of his visa extension request as a political decision to return home.

“Unnecessary announcement: Nawaz Sharif’s visa extension in the UK has been rejected. He is currently on appeal, but he knows his visa will be rejected, and he will be deported. Therefore, Nawaz Sharif’s deportation is being presented as a political decision to return. Cowards are never brave,” Shahbaz Gill tweeted.

“Previously, some people were used to fabricate narratives such as revolutionary Nawaz Sharif’ and ‘Nawaz Sharif has worn the shroud,’ and now they are being used to fabricate narratives such as suspension of the revolution’ and a ‘deal’ with the same establishment,” he explained.

“There is a considerable likelihood of his deportation from the United Kingdom, and preparations are being made in that regard,” he stated.

Sharif’s application for a visa renewal “on medical reasons” was denied by the UK government in August last year. Nawaz Sharif is the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Afterward, he filed an appeal against the judgment made by the United Kingdom’s Home Office.
