Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said on Wednesday that he had tested negative for the virus and had resumed his work today.
The minister shared a health update on Twitter: “By Allah’s grace I am fully recovered. My last two tests were negative. I returned to work today. Mild symptoms and fast recovery no doubt due to vaccinations.”
The minister stressed that “vaccines work and are the best protection against this terrible disease”.
Last week the minister became infected with the coronavirus after mild symptoms and decided to get tested.
