Security forces killed terrorist in North Waziristan

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced Wednesday that security forces killed a terrorist in an exchange of fire in the Shewa area of North Waziristan district on the night of February 8-9.

In the Shewa area of North Waziristan, security forces and terrorists exchanged fire, resulting in the death of a terrorist known as Irfan alias Abu Darda, who was killed. In addition, weapons and ammunition were seized from his custody by the security forces.

According to the ISPR, the terrorist who was killed was involved in terrorist activities against security forces, including target killings and kidnappings for ransom, as well as other crimes.

Locals in the area expressed their appreciation for the operation carried out by the security forces and pledged their full support for the elimination of the threat of terrorism from the area.

Earlier in the month, security forces in Sarwakai village, South Waziristan district, apprehended wanted outlawed TTP terrorist Allah Noor as part of an intelligence-based operation (IBO). The terrorist from the TTP was attempting to flee an Intelligence-Based Operation.

Terrorist hideout has been raided and a “huge cache” of weapons and ammunition, as well as explosives, IEDs, mortars, grenades, and communication equipment, according to the ISPR.

In a separate operation, law enforcement officers recovered M-16 rifles and ammunition in the Makeen district of South Waziristan.

The ISPR also stated that four individuals who were transporting arms and ammo to Dara Adam Khel were apprehended as part of the operation.
