Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, Secretary-General of the Organization for Islamic cooperation, has requested to send a mission in accordance with UN and OIC resolutions to Jammu and Kashmir unlawfully occupied Indians.
The Secretary-General highlighted questions concerning the status of Muslims in India, the Jammu and Kashmir disputes, and pertinent UN and OIC resolutions rejecting unilateral measures on the subject, during his meetings with India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, Ausaf Sayeed.
In keeping with the respective resolutions of the OIC Foreign Minister Council, he expressed the OIC General Secretary’s willingness to send a delegation to the disputed territory.
