On Tuesday, the Supreme Court (SC) warned PPP activist Masood ur Rehman Abbasi not to disrespect his speech against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed.
A four-person panel, chaired by Justice Umar Ata Bandial, heard the previous day’s trial for insulting Abasi today.
Earlier, the 23rd Executive Committee of the Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBAP) also condemned Abbasi’s behavior when he was briefed on a video in which Abbasi used obscene language against the CJP.
“Masud ur Rehman Abasi of PPP made sarcastic and abusive comments towards Pakistan’s presiding judge,” the court said during the trial.
