Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agreed on Tuesday to deepen their relations in the field of commerce, investment and technology, in particular economic cooperation.
In a joint news conference held at the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Saudi colleague Prince Faisal bin Faran agreed to continue to offer assistance to each other with regard to regional and global challenges.
The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs indicated that his administration will urge businesspeople from both sides to seek investment possibilities in the technology sector.
He also ensured that the visa limitations relating to the Covid-19 vaccine were extended to Pakistani passengers in particular.
While reiterating its profound and historical connections between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Imran Khan underlined in particular the necessity, in taking action to realise the huge potential of commerce, investment and energy, to develop the economic component of these ties.
The Prime Minister spoke to Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of the Saudi Arabia, who appealed to him.
In relation to climate change, Saudi engagement was indicated to further cooperate with Pakistan as Premier Imran Khan’s vision of achievement of environmental conservation objectives was followed.
