The Indian tennis ace is gearing up for his digital debut with MTV web series Nishedh Alone Together, NDTV reported. Mirza will star herself in the fictional series which focuses on tuberculosis (TB) awareness.
“Tuberculosis continues to be one of the most chronic health problems in our country. With around half of diagnosed cases under the age of 30, there is an urgent need to correct the mistakes and bring about a shift in perception, ”said Mirza, adding how the show brings this message“ in a unique and impactful way. . . “
Mirza went on to explain why she chose to be a part of this particular series. “Young people today are more aware, sensitive and aware of the problems that affect our country. Tuberculosis is a constant threat and its impact has only worsened with the pandemic. The fight to stop it is harder than ever and that’s what pushed me to get on board, ”he said.
According to IANS, the show focuses on a young couple, Vicky and Megha, who follow the challenges they face. Sania will be seen discussing the issues they faced, especially during the shutdown.
It is slated to be a five-episode series and will be available on MTV India’s social media the last week of November.
