According to the Yonhap news agency, the SDC is often hosted between October and November in the vicinity of Silicon Valley, California, where many big information technology businesses are based.
In its early years, the conference concentrated on mobile technology, but in recent years, it has also featured innovative solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), among other topics (IoT).
Around 5,000 individuals attended the SDC in 2019, where they discussed and exchanged ideas on a variety of technologies and services that may improve the user experience.
